In order to create, I draw from my inner well. This inner well, my artistic reservoir, is ideally like a well-stocked fish pond… If I don’t give some attention to upkeep it, my well is apt to become depleted, stagnant, or blocked… As an artist, I must learn to be self-nourishing. I must become alert enough to consciously replenish my creative resources as I draw on them — to restock the trout pond, so to speak.
One of the best ways to do this is to take time-out, especially from social media. I also love to replenish my inner well by spending time in nature...
